The Micro OTTER Business Investment Loan fund (MOBIL) is administered at the Ogemawahj Tribal Council (OTC) level, which is located in Mnjikaning First Nation (Rama), Ontario. Alderville is one of the six First Nation members of the OTC, www.ogemawahj.on.ca where it accesses advisory and technical services.
The MOBIL fund is a small business loan program which has assisted many businesses in the OTC First Nations of Beausoleil, Georgina Island, Mnjikaning, Scugog, Moose Deer Point, and Alderville since the early 1990s. Loans up to $5,000 are accessible through an application process overseen by the OTC Economic Development Advisor in consultation with the Alderville Economic Development Officer.
